I Saw Poetry Recently

Robert Pinsky reading Shakespeare alongside other actors/emoters.

The words were wonderful, but a man on the subway came up to me, livid at the fact that they were unemotional performers.  He was deep into the method.

What matters most? A clean reading of words or empathy?? I always wonder.
